I was there last night. Susan was our server an she was great! The service was great an the steaks were mouth watering. Such a great time and pleasant atmosphere not like the chain steak houses but more like home! Great place to meet an eat. 👍👍👍👍
The service is great ! Really good food. Friendly people. Needs a band or kareoke, and dance floor !
Just had the prime rib for 2. It was great. Cooked too what we ordered. Good portion.
Steak was a bit overcooked. Woulda been ok. Staff was nice atmosphere was ok. WAY, WAY OVERPRICED. If the bill was reasonable and the steaks cooked a minute less on each side woulda been 4 stars and we would be back.
This was the best steak I have had!! They got a lot of people done for just 2 waiters. It was nicely cleaned. nice people.Nice seating arrangement. Our family loved it. Steak was cooked how I wanted. We will come again for sure! I like how they have a big steer on the wall. They took good care of us.THANK YOU!Jaz Blasingame, 9yrs old wrote this review.
If you want a great steak, this is the steakhouse to go to with family or friends!
The best prime rib I've ever head. Slow cooked, could cut it with a fork and was mouth watering. Service was prompt and professional, and the owner (Dick) was attentive and friendly. No idea what another reviewer was experiencing (they recommended Texas Roadhouse -- if you like your restaurant overly packed to capacity and so loud you can't hear each other - go there (30min away, so not exactly close) - otherwise enjoy a steak cooked to perfection with good service. Well be going back with our teenage boys too (huge, $9 burgers), this was for our anniversary and it was awesome.
Best steak in a long time!
Lousy service, tough steaks. Tried twice never going back
A little bit out of the way but the prime rib is great
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!!
First off the place was dirty and smelled bad. Waiting staff was very slow and did not have the necessary cognitive power to successfully wait more than a few tables at a time, not that that is an issue due to the fact that this place is never busy... with that being said, the food was absolutely atrocious and almost inedible. The chicken fingers were clearly just a store bought frozen food that had been deep fried beyond recognition. Sour cream is served at room temperature and in a packet. The water and iced tea tasted as if it was sewage water. Moreover, everything on the menu was extremely over priced. Management/ownership of the establishment was very egotistical and condescending towards our complaints and suggestions. Will never eat at or recommend this place again. If you’re in the area and looking for a good steakhouse, do yourself (stomach) and your wallet a favor and go to Texas Roadhouse, where you can at least get unlimited rolls and good service for the same price.
Phenomenal!!! If you like steak, you'll love this place! I recommend, the Prime Rib! It's in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the trip!
Good steak, friendly service, reasonably priced.
The drinks did not taste very well. Otherwise it was great!!
Good food decent prices not busy
I have been going to the steak house for years, back in the day it was good food for a reasonable price. No, however, prices have gone way up, food is less appealing, we ate there last night, with my meal I got a trip to the salad bar, almost everything was still frozen and what wasn't didn't taste fresh. Our meals took forever and were not that great. We also ordered appetizers and they tasted like they were fried in month old oil. Hope that new management can restore the place back to original glory
Steak good, side dishes are not homemade, alcohol selection is limited, prices are high.
You cannot beat the flavor of the char broiled steak. Nothing comes close. Very clean with a great atmosphere. My wife and I also split the halibut which was fantastic. Sue our waitress was very good. We are locals and will be coming back.
Pricey but good food
The food was excellent!!! The service was prompt and courteous. Very nice atmosphere.
Tasty high quality prime rib was cooked to perfection!
I don't know why this isn't packed every night! It is way out of town, but my wife and I love the motorcycle ride to have a great steak. If you miss Trail Dust this is a replacement - you have booths and tables.
Ate there for the first time tonight. I had the 16 oz t-bone steak. It was incredible. After going to places in the Springs, I forgot steak was supposed to taste that way. We finally found our steak house. Highly impressed and recommended.
Prime rib worst I've ever had and steak was awful the two times I was there this year. Service disappointed. Not sure what has happened but the food was good back a few years ago. Ownership still the same. Great people.
Very dark inside so not really sure how clean the place is. Booth seats are old, fabric was peeling and seat lumpy. "Salad" bar is iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber and croutons. We eat ordered a steak. They both appeared to be huge and took up most of the plate, mine was mostly fat, husband had gristle and fat. The baked potato was served with cold butter packet (like Wendy's would give) and a package of sour cream. I felt like the food quality, presentation and taste were of a fast food variety not a restaurant, let alone with these prices! Almost $100 for two people. Not making the mistake of going again. Is a drive but worth it to go into Parker or Castle Rock.
What a Steakhouse is Supposed to Be! Western Trails is exactly what you go to a Steakhouse for. In the heart of Colorado cattle country, this is an establishment that appreciates good beef! I grew up wrangling cattle, and I appreciate a good steak. This is an authentic Steakhouse, without pretense or pandering. If you want great Prime Rib, sirloin, or an expertly prepared T-bone, as well as a classic, unpretentious salad bar (yes, they have crisp, juicy iceberg lettuce, not Romain or kale-think classic Wedge, or an old west Wagon Wheel salad bar), try them. And enjoy the drive!
If you like that "hot dog" flavor, go to Western Trails. And the food is terribly overpriced, which may partly explain why my party was one of three there in a Friday night.Avoid the beef, the sides, the bread, and by all means, the one type of wine they offer. I would, however, recommend one thing on the menu...the cheesecake.
Kind of pricey, but the food was plentiful and good.
Service and Food were great! Not too crowded or noisy.
Awesome Prime Rib! Great service! Thanks!
We had a wonderful time! Sue, our server, checked up on us regularly until we were ready to order, so we didn't have to wait. She was very accommodating and anticipated what we needed. The food was delicious. The fillet was cooked to order perfectly! The environment is great for relaxing after a hard day of work, and I imagine would be ideal for throwing a banquet as well!
Loved the atmosphere here. Lovely fireplace and nice mounted longhorn above it. Our server was very nice but she got rather busy as our meal went on. Very very pricey. My husband had a steak which was very tender and well seasoned. $22 I had the shrimp. Five shrimp deep fried and a side salad for$16. Probably worth $10. Salad bar is $9 for all you can eat, and for that price I would expect a lot more items. Baked potato was not quite cooked all the way but the toppings were yummy, tho had to pay an extra dollar for cheese and bacon which at that price should just be included. Bring the prices down and I would be happy to come again.
The service was great. I couldn't believe the amount of food we got. Very nice establishment and was clean. The waitress we had was very prompt and polite. We will definitely be back In the future. Ps. Complements to the cook that was by far the best prime rib I've ever had and that's about all I eat when i go out..
Great food no frills. Try the steak sandwich, it's awesome.
Saw this place on line checked out the menu prices looked good. So took a chance. Got there kinda dark and nobody in the place Got the menu prices were not the same as online menu. They were way higher salad bar was a joke. Steaks Where just ok no draft beer special as mentioned online and slow service won't go back Texas Roadhouse has better service and the steaks are great and beer is always on tap
Their prime rib is the best I've ever had! Tender and delicious. It's a bit pricey, but the portions are very large, so I share with my husband. A special place to treat yourself to some mouth watering steaks.
Don't do it! YOU WILL BE SORRY! Their menu prices are quite high. My ribeye was kinda thin and had a lot of gristle. The baked potato was hard. I ate it anyway because the service was poor. My girlfriend's shrimp were huge but doughy because they weren't cooked long enough. After a lengthy wait, sending them back to the kitchen fixed that.Their salad bar was a tiny little cart and the side of it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. In spite of our issues there were no bill adjustments, just a 'Sorry 'bout that' from the waitress. I can't think of a single reason to ever go back.
We have said for over a year we would visit this restaurant and so glad we finally did. Great food, hosts were so friendly, and overall comfortable environment. The steak was what will keep bringing us back.
Very good prime rib! Service was good. Salad bar was very good too.
The food wasn't the best (I can make better at home). Server brought out spoiled milk for my husband. Didn't even offer anything for serving him spoiled milk. Never going back!
The service was ok. We'd seen several ads for the steak house so we decided to try it out. It's a pit pricey. Read the menu and they served Rocky Mountain Oysters. I was excited, so ordered. I'm not sure what they brought me but it's the first time I'd see square, flat Rocky Mountain Oysters. I tried to eat, but they were terrible! Not enough meat to even say they were a meat product and they were chewy. I sent them back and ate my baked potato. Jim has steak which was good and tasty.
The food and ambiance was sooooooooooooo amazing!
Just awesome is all I can say. Best steak meal I've had a long time. We will definitely be back.
Had a 20 oz steak to perfection. Great choices of sides
tried twice. not worth your time $9 burger no toppings. clearly the good reviews are from staff. too bad they don't read their own reviews and fix it. we eat out 3 times a week.
I love the Ribeye steak, and the service is always friendly
We love eating here! Friendly staff, great cooks, and if ever anything is wrong they are very willing to fix it! Love them!
Horrible service, way over priced! My first visit Years ago was terrible and it's just as bad if not worse now. It's such a shame because it could be a really nice place and packed but instead the parking lot is always empty!
I received a gift certificate for this restaurant and we were excited to go. Well, let's just say I was glad we didn't pay for it out of pocket. The staff was nice and the rocky mountain oysters were ok but the rest of the experience was just mediocre. I'd only go again if someone else was buying.
